Why did you start your business?
I’ve had a passion for candles for as long as I can remember. I would eagerly wait for Bath & Body Works' annual sale, stocking up on all my favorites. Gifting candles to family and friends became a personal joy—I'd even try to figure out which scents they'd love the most. Each candle I make is poured with love and care, and I truly enjoy sharing that warmth and joy with others.

Chicago, Illinois
What type of wax do you use?
I use soy wax because it’s eco-friendly, pet-safe, and burns cleaner than other waxes, making it a better choice for both the environment and your home.
Where do you ship?
We currently only ship in the USA.
How does local pick up work?
Free local pick up. At checkout, select our local pick up option. Once your order is prepped and ready for pickup (4-5 business days), you will receive an email to schedule your pickup day/time. Pickup is in Chicago, IL 60623.
Shipping time?
Our processing time is 4-5 business days. Shipping time depends on shipping method selected. We don’t ship on weekends. *This does not include candles with turnaround times*
Shipping updates?
Once we ship your order we will send you an email with details how to track your order. If we notice any issues with your order we will do our best to contact you as soon as possible.
What does turnaround time mean?
Turnaround time is the amount of time it takes to complete the order. Shipping time is not included.
Do you accepts returns or exchanges?
We do not offer refunds. However, if your item arrives damaged (broken glass), we will happily offer a replacement. If you are absolutely unhappy about an item you ordered, please reach out via email to see if we can make it right: lunawixandwax@gmail.com
Stolen packages, packages delivered to the wrong address, or entering your address incorrectly:
If UPS/USPS fails to deliver your package correctly or if your package is stolen, this is not the responsibility of Luna wix and wax. You will be prompted to file a claim through the carrier for a full refund — a mishap such as this is completely out of our hands and is solely to responsibility of the carrier. Please be sure to ship your candles to a reliable address that doesn't have frequent delivery issues.Â
Please always be sure to double check your ship to address at check out. If you input the wrong ship to address, the package will be returned to luna wix and wax and there will be a $9.99 re-ship fee since we don't get a refund on shipping when it's returned to sender and we have to pay for shipping twice.
FIRST BURN
•The first burn is the most important and should be about a 2 hour burn minimum.
•Allow the candle to complete a full melt pool and reach the edges of jar to create its “memory” that will allow the candle to “remember” to burn outside of the rim. This is the best way to prevent “tunneling”.
•Remember our 9oz candle are approximately a 3 inches diameter. Please allow one hour for inch of your candles diameter.
AFTER FIRST BURN
•It is highly recommended to trim your wick 1/4 and remove the excess before lighting the candle. Trimming the wick will allow a longer burn time.
•Burn candles on protective, heat resistance surface and away from breezes.
•Never leave candle unattended and don’t burn for more than 4 hours.
•Never burn a candle near anything flammable. Please keep burning candle out of reach of children and pets.
IMPORTANT TIPS
•Our 9oz candle is ideal for smaller spaces such as restrooms or bedrooms, while our double wick and square candles are perfect for larger areas like living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens.
•Some of our candles may contain dried flowers that can catch fire. We ask to please remove any fire hazard items before burning.Â
•Keep candles fresh by covering when not in use.Â
•Once the candle hits below half an inch it becomes a fire hazar.Â
•Don’t allow your candle to burn all the way to the bottom. If the jar becomes to hot, it can cause the glass to shatter.Â
